Our future orientations are as following:

1. To take responsibility as a public medical center with high-grade healthcare, teaching and research.
   Passed many evaluations, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital has been awarded as a government medical center and takes the medical service, the teaching and the research for granted as our own duties. We not only provide high quality medical service to the community and the populace, but also use our specialized, outstanding and the innovating background to cultivate the prominate medical team. Simultaneously, we integrate with the clinical researches to develop the leading science and technology to benefit the human being.
   
2. To be a public hospital to advance all the people health and coordinate with government medical service policy. KVGH is the sole public medical center in the southern area, although public subsidy reduces day by day, we still perseveres the role of a public hospital. We not only coordinate with the official health authorities to carry out the policy, but also endeavor to lead and promote medical service standard in the community and the region.
   
3. A veterans hospital to defend the veterans and their families and take care of their body and mind. Facing gradually reduced veterans and their families, KVGH still endures the mission as a health guardian of the veterans and their families, and will follow the great task assigned by Veterans Affairs Commission to integrate medical service network of veterans in southern area, expecting to provide veterans and their families an intimate, prompt and perfect health care continually.
