(1) VGH-KS Academic Faculty consists of 3 professors, 27 associate professors, 27 lecturers and 2 teaching assistants.

(2) VGH-KS has entered into cooperative activities with a number of medical centers, universities, colleges, schools and hospitals.

(3) Teaching Activities:

1. a. We accept students from the departments of medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, nursing, medical technology, radiology, rehabilitation, nutrition, hospital administration, public health, social work, psychology, and industrial safety for internship.
2. We accept all doctors and technicians for continuing education and training to upgrade the level of medical care in southern Taiwan.
3. We train specialists in various fields for the Department of Health.
4. We organize various training programs, open programs and seminars as well as on-the-job training for our own staff members and those of other institutions.
5. Our various departments periodically hold morning meetings, clinical case reports and discussions, mortality conferences and joint conferences. We also host special lectures and inter-hospital or inter-divisional joint meetings.
6. In our, Advisor-Responsibility System for Interns, each intern is assigned to an attending physician with whom they consult regularly. These physicians are expected to take interest in the daily lives of interns and help them with their practice.

(4) Teaching Facilities

1. Our library makes available journals, magazines, books and, audio-visual materials for both Oriental and Western medicines for borrowing. It helps researchers with optical fiber network searches, Internet searches and inter-library loan services.
2. h. Four conference rooms are available for academic and teaching activities. The largest conference room has 580 seats, the second largest has 180 seats, and two smaller conference rooms have 80 and 60 seats each.
3. Located throughout the clinical divisions of VGH-KS are over 40 academic discussion rooms each furnished with various kinds of multi-media equipment.
