Our department is the earliest department established in KSVGH. The total number of staff is 29, including:1 director, 22 Engineers, 13 mechanics and 1 clerk.

We are responsible for the design, procurement, construction and maintenance of all the hospital construction projects involving water, electricity, air condition, elevator, medical equipment, building decoration, and maintenance.

The Eengineering and Maintenance Department is composed of the following four sections:

Design and building Section

• Architecture design, construction and maintenance.
• General facility procurement and maintenance.
• Building decoration and maintenance.

Mechanical and Electrical Section

Design, installation and procurement of system:

• Plumbing and electricity
• Fire-fighting equipment
• Air conditioning
• Elevator
• Boiler
• Pneumatic and electrical transport
• Water treatment

Medical Engineering Section

Provides the following：

• Plan, design, evaluation, invite tender, inspection of construction, and repair and preventive maintenance on nurse call systems, electronic facilities and medical gas pipeline distribution systems.
• Incoming inspection, pre-purchase evaluation, electrical safety testing, in-house repair service and preventive maintenance for medical equipment.
• Supervision and assessment of outside service and service contracts evaluation and management.
• Identification of retiring obsolete equipment.

Maintenance Section

• Medical facility maintenance.
• Trouble shooting of medical and housing appliances.

Administration Support

• Administrative paperwork.
• Engineering appliation.
• Engineering purchase, documentation.
• Engineering project control.
• Personnel management.
