My
major research interest is in the fields of virus infection and host
innate immune response. We have focused on the role of
post-translation modification, such as SUMOylation and
Ubiquitination, regulating Interferon and inflammatory cytokines
expression by dendritic cells (DCs)
and macrophages.
Distributed
broadly in the body, DCs are among the first cells to recognize
pathogen signals through pathogen recognition receptors such as
toll-like receptors (TLRs). Evidences indicate that DCs play the
pivotal role in linkage of innate and adaptive immunity. By the
molecular aspects, we are interested in the mechanisms of
transcription factors in regulating DCs development and activity.
