Division of Urology, Department of Surgery

History:

Department of Surgery was planned in 1986 and established since 1990. The first chief was Huang, Jong-Khing who was well-known in field of prostate. In 2003, he was promoted to chief of department of surgery. Dr Ying-Huei Lee become chief of urology since then. Both of them get professor honor during these period. In 2003, Professor Huang was promoted to deputy superintendent. Professor Lee was retirement and become chief of urology in Chi-Mei Medical center and then chief of surgery. Assisted Professor Dr Tony Wu was elected to become chief of urology since then. In 2009, Professor Huang had promoted to be superintendent. In 2010, Assisted Professor Tony Wu was elected to become Chief or Surgery. Dr Yu chia-Chen was elected to become chief of urology since 2010 July 1.

All of our attending surgeons had qualified urology board and receiving advanced training in America in order to learn update knowledge.

Facility:

We have two urological operation room, one ordinary operation room and extracorporeal shockwave center, urodynamic lab. The facilities were established to fulfill the demand of patients and provided best quality care to patients. 

In Patient service :

We had on urology ward with nurse who are well training for urology care. Urologist was available all day long to care patients.

Out-Patient service :We provided at least 2 OPD clinic every afternoon start at 2 PM from Monday to Friday.
