Neurosurgery at the Verterans General Hospital-Kaohsiung is one of the neurosurgical training centers in Taiwan, offers an excellent experience and training ground for residents in neurosurgery. We provide a full spectrum of service for the diagnosis and treatment of patinets with neurological disorders, including:

• Brain and spinal tumors, transphenoidal surgery.
• Cerebral aneurysm and vascular malformations.
• Spondylosis, rupture disc and spinal instrumentation of cervical, thoracic and lumbarsacral segments.
• Stereotactic technique and computor assisted image-guided neurosurgery(neuronavigator)
• Pediatric neurosurgery.
• Functional neurosurgery for movement disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, hyperhidrosis palmaris.
• Peripheral nerve injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Concerning about the progression in the clinical and research works, we have close collaboration with colleagues in neurology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, rehabilitation and medical research departments. This team concept makes Neurosurgery to continue provide the standard and high quality neurosurgery care in South Taiwan.
